IN OTHER WORDS – Love this quote. Good friends are a blessing from the Lord.
And good writer friends are some of the most crazy, zany, imaginative, laugh-a-minute kind of people to be blessed with.
So wonderful to participate in the Blue Ridge Mts. Christian Writers Conference and meet old friends and find new ones! Pics to follow…
What are your “friend” stories where you discovered kindred spirits?
Do I ever!! We were both Mary Kay consultants back in the mid 80s. We hadn’t met yet, didn’t even know of each other’s existence. I was in my local Hallmark store, getting a display item, when the owner came up to me to ask, “I have a new Mary Kay gal over here who needs something to display the lipstick packets. Can you help her?”
Now, the owner had been my customer, so she knew I could. The problem was I was wearing cut-offs, no make-up, and my hair was a huge mess. But I could never turn down someone who needed help. I agreed.
A moment later, around the corner comes this woman with her hair in curlers, wearing cut-offs, and no make-up. We stated at each other, burst out laughing, and became BFFs. We are still wonderful friends even though an entire country separates us. 🙂

Christian writer friends are the absolute best. Sweet thought, Cynthia. I think that if I’d never published, I’d still be thankful to have walked the writing path; followed the ministry God laid on my heart, just to find friends I would’ve never found any other way. God bless Sue, Debra, Stephanie, Bonnie, Margaret, Angie, DiAnn, Linda, … There’s too many to mention. God is good.
