Are there certain conversations from the past that yet linger in your thoughts?
Harsh words spoken in anger that plague you during the darkest times.
Or lovely words offered with encouragement and love, boosting your confidence and self-worth.
Our words are valuable.
As we head into the brand new year, I pray that we will be mindful of the power of our words. In conversation and in our writing. Written words linger even longer. Use caution with words on social media; they will cycle on and on with a lasting impression.
Treasure those words that are spoken in love and truth. When someone speaks a positive word to me, I often write it down so I can go back over it again and again. Let us offer these sweet words of hope, faith and love to a hurting generation.
Will you join with me this year, resolving to think before we speak, and definitely pray before we write?
“If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.” James 1:26
I will join you,Cynthia. It’s a good word!
