A WORD – Goal: something you are trying to do or achieve.
We’re already into March and I’m wondering how some of those New Year resolutions are working out for everyone. Instead of resolutions, I try to set goals. Resolution or goal, life still catches up and throws me off balance. Thinking about all the areas I hope to be productive in and feeling like I’m failing in each and every one. I’m finding myself overwhelmed and frustrated.
Work, church, home, people, events, circumstances….AHHHH! Am I the only one who feels this way?
Time to take a deep breath and set new, simple goals. Yes, must simplify to make it reasonable and doable.
- Devotion: Jesus first. Every day with praise, prayer and the Word.
- Declutter: Small tasks around the house, every little bit counts.
- Delve: into writing. Get the words on paper, even if its short. Just write.
- Discover: new friends, new places, new experiences. Make time for people.
- Daydream: break for a rest. Take a walk, read a magazine, mail a greeting card, make a phone call.
