“Snowflakes are one of nature’s most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together.”- Vesta M. Kelly
“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” I Cor. 1:10
Imagine what we could do, working together!
This should be the last winter post of snowy weather since SPRING arrives next week.

Don’t mean to make you jealous but…
Out here in far west TX, spring has arrived. I’ve been able to walk Ruby every day for the past 2 weeks. If I had a porch, I could sit on it, sipping tea.

Sherry,
Sigh. I was out chopping ice off the front of our driveway this afternoon. Enjoy your early Spring weather. Forget the porch, pull out a lawn chair and bring out your sweet tea!

As you know Cyndy, I live just over the hill from you so our weather woes are the same! We did see and hear red wing blackbirds today but they may freeze the next two days, poor things. With the winter we’ve endured,I don’t hold out hope for sharing a glass of tea with you outside until maybe late May, early June. But a balmy day in April would qualify. And though I’m going to be living in the south hopefully soon, I don’t like sweet tea, can you believe it?! Join me in prayer for glorious spring days!

I love to sit on our porch and drink tea. I’m in Florida and today its nice in the high 70’s. We had a lot of rain last night and some this morning but its drying out and the next few days will be sunny and warm.

Katie,
Sounds lovely. We hit temps of 30 today which is better than the single digit ones. And there is sunshine which is a wonderful thing. But it looks like there will be no porch sitting for awhile yet : (
Enjoy your beautiful weather the next few days!

Hello Cynthia. I love the pictures. It’s rare for us to get any snow but on rare occasion here in Texas, we have had a very lite one that was gone by next day. Don’t think it’s hardly measurable. I live way down in the south part near Houston. We hardly have 4 seasons either. Think maybe cold weather is gone, but usually it goes straight to HOT. This cold has lasted longer than usual for us. Nothing like other places tho. Those people would laugh at us even saying cold. 🙂 The cold bothers me more here than in WY. tho. Guess the humidity. I can sit on my porch and drink sweet Tea, just no one to sit with me. The ones who used to be friends have moved from this Mobile Park and all of the new ones near me don’t speak English. I would love to have this book.

In Texas, you could do that one day and there might be snow on the ground the next. Tomorrow with highs in the 80’s, sweet tea will hit the spot drinking it on my front porch.

I have lived in GA all my life, but I prefer UNSWEET tea. Our weather is unpredictable lately…had several great spring days…then rain/cool for days. However, I think tomorrow will be a great day to sit on my back porch and sip tea!!!

Jackie,
I acquired a taste for sweet tea while attending a writers conference in NC. Now I’m hooked…I’m glad you’ve had some good spring days. We seem frozen in a winter time zone here, it is sleeting outside right now : ( Enjoy your day tomorrow and be thankful you live in a warmer climate!

I live in SC and sweet tea is the drink of choice, but I’m not a big fan. I grew up in the north and never developed a taste for it. Anyway we’ve had a few days in the 70’s already, not quite porch sittin’ weather in the evenings quite yet…

Patty,
Yes, I’m getting some southerners here who don’t like sweet tea. If you grew up in the north, I’m sure you can appreciate the warmer weather. We’re still stuck in the 30’s and lower…

I am laughing at this question because I live in Michigan and you never know when it will be warm enough to sit outside. This winter has been crazy. I would say you can safely assume you should be able to sit outside by Memorial Day but as we say in Michigan “It’s Michigan so you never know.”

Melissa,
I shared your comment with my husband who lived in Michigan for a bit when he was young, he totally understood! I do hope it warms up for you sooner than Memorial Day. That’s even worst than our weather here in frozen upstate NY.

I live in Iowa and we still have some snow. Hopefully, no more but it will be at least another month before we’ll be sitting outside!

Beth,
Now I don’t feel as bad, knowing I have company with others still snowed in. We’re about the same – it will probably be another month till we can venture out and even then it will be wet and muddy. Thanks for stopping by…
