A Word: honeyfuggle – to deceive or swindle, especially flattery.

I subscribe to A Word A Day and receive interesting and often unusual words in my inbox.

This is a funny one and could be useful in a novel.

“Don’t try to honeyfuggle me!”

Just pronouncing it, makes me laugh.(fuggle almost rhymes with cuddle)

What is your favorite word this month?

THE WORD – Goodness & Mercy

bible-verses

A beautiful promise. When I look back on my life, even through the hard places, I can see how goodness and mercy have followed me.

God’s Word is true and His promises are secure.

I’m reminded of times when the presence of God has slipped into my days with an unexpected gift and I know beyond any doubt, it is God’s goodness to me. His mercy covers me.

I look behind me and yes, I can see it. The clear imprint, the footsteps of Goodness and Mercy trailing my path.

Can you see this in your own life?

How has God’s goodness and mercy followed you?

WORDS – New Blog Format

academics,courses,pens,subjects,text,writings

Time for a fresh look at Lovely Lane!

As fellow bloggers know, it often takes awhile to find the right direction for your own blog. We are encouraged to follow what we are passionate about to be successful. I love Jesus. I love Words. I love Writing. I love Reading. The new format will follow this pattern for posting four weekends:

  • The Word – a devotional.
  • A Word – reviewing a particular word, whether funny or unusual.
  • My Words – a topic that grabs my attention that month. May be current issues, money saving tips, home decor, friendships, etc.
  • In Other Words – sharing a favorite quote or term. Or a book review. Perhaps a guest post.

Short posts.  More book giveaways.

My focus is on the love of Words and all we can accomplish using them wisely. Whether in writing pursuits or in daily conversation.

If you have any suggestions of things that would be of interest to you, as a writer OR as a reader, please do leave me a comment. And thank you for stopping by today : )
