“Always” by Cynthia A. Lovely

THE WORD – Have you ever been faced with a troubled situation and you dreaded the outcome, not knowing what would happen?

I faced one this past week.

After continued prayer I remember crying out, “Lord Jesus, please take care of me.” And instantly, that sweet whisper swept over my soul, “Always…”

He is the King of all Kings yet He pauses to take a moment of time to remind His child of His great faithfulness. Amazing Love.

The problem was turned around and the week ended with a good report. I love my Savior!

We serve an awesome God!

“Pumpkin Spice Lovers Ode” by Cynthia A. Lovely

IN MY WORDS to be sung to the beginning of tune for “When I’m Sixty-Four.”

As I get older, losing my fears,

     crowds don’t sway me none.

In the midst of all the hype and buzz,

my little voice cries, “NO!” because…

              I don’t do pumpkin,

              I really don’t care,

             for the taste at all.

So will you still like me,

     will you still friend me,

     I don’t do pumpkin spice.

              No more frappes here.

No chai, no nog for me,

            Pumpkin  spice  won’t  do!

     So….will you still like me,

     will you still friend me,

    I don’t do pumpkin spice.

“Remember God’s Faithfulness” by Cynthia A. Lovely

THE WORD – “They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:23

When you need a simple reminder of God’s faithfulness, take a walk down memory lane.

Every time I sort through old pictures, letters and memorabilia, I am reminded of God’s hand upon my life. He has been with me every step of the way, from a young child until now and on into the future.

Recently we met up with a former pastor who has since moved to another state and is evangelizing. We had assisted him years ago in an inner city work in Albany NY. Another friend from years ago has re-connected. Through it all, I see the constant thread of faithfulness. Sometimes we forget all that God has brought us through and we need those reminders.

How often do you recall the Lord’s faithfulness in your life?

Are there things that trigger those memories?

I am so very grateful my God never changes, His mercies are new every morning and yes, GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS!

P.S. The picture is me and my dear, sweet mother, a long time ago : )
